Overview

  • Argentina’s auto market logged 62,123 new-car registrations in July, a 44% year-on-year rise that marked its strongest July since 2018 and brought the January–July total to 388,680 units (+71.5%).
  • Motorcycle registrations in Argentina climbed 33.9% to 54,060 in July, lifting the year-to-date volume to 360,163 units, a 47.5% increase over the same period last year.
  • Spain posted 98,337 car registrations in July, up 17.1%, including 21,002 electrified vehicles which surged 155% and now account for 21.4% of the market, while January–July totals reached 708,139 units (+14.3%).
  • Light two-wheeler registrations in Spain expanded 22.4% to 31,261 units in July, pushing the year’s tally to 155,530 (+8.5%) and underscoring growing preference for motorcycles and scooters.
  • Industry groups from ACARA to ANFAC credited stabilized macroeconomic conditions, broader financing options, Moves and storm-recovery incentives for sustaining momentum but cautioned that uneven regional activation of aid programmes could temper gains.
