July Equity and Debt Inflows Drive Mutual Funds to Record Rs 75.36 Lakh Crore AUM

Record equity, debt, SIP investments pushed mutual fund assets to a record in July despite persistent foreign outflows under a strong dollar

  • Equity schemes recorded a net inflow of Rs 42,702.35 crore in July, an 81% increase from June and the highest monthly haul on AMFI record.
  • Systematic Investment Plan contributions hit a fourth straight monthly high at Rs 28,464 crore, with over 91 million accounts participating.
  • Debt funds attracted about Rs 1.06 lakh crore in net inflows, led by money market (Rs 44,573 crore) and liquid funds (Rs 39,354 crore) amid yield and liquidity shifts.
  • Sectoral and thematic equity funds topped category inflows at around Rs 9,426 crore, followed by flexi-cap (Rs 7,654 crore), small-cap (Rs 6,484 crore) and mid-cap (Rs 5,182 crore) schemes.
  • Thirty new fund offers raised about Rs 30,416 crore in July, contributing to a 1.3% month-on-month rise in total assets under management to Rs 75.36 lakh crore.
