Julio Urías Investigation Complete, D.A. to Decide on Charges

The former Dodgers pitcher, arrested in September, could face felony domestic violence charges.

Julio Urías, a former pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is under investigation for alleged felony domestic violence following an incident on September 3, 2023.
The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has received a completed investigation from law enforcement and will decide whether to charge Urías.
Urías was arrested outside an LAFC game at BMO Stadium after a person alerted police that a man and a woman were involved in a physical altercation.
Urías was placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball on Sept. 6 and did not appear with the team again.
This is the second time Urías has been arrested for domestic violence; he was previously suspended 20 games under MLB’s domestic violence policy in 2019.
