- U.S. agents delivered Chávez Jr. at the Dennis DeConcini crossing in Nogales on Aug. 18, and Mexican federal agents moved him to the Cefereso 11 maximum-security prison in Hermosillo.
- He is held under a March 2023 arrest warrant that accuses him of organized crime and trafficking of weapons, ammunition and explosives, according to the FGR.
