Julie Bowen to Star in NBC's New Comedy 'Taste'

The Emmy-winning actress will play the editor of a legacy food magazine navigating changes under a tech-savvy new owner.

Julie Bowen, known for her role in 'Modern Family,' is set to star in and executive-produce the NBC comedy 'Taste,' currently in development.
'Taste' centers on a traditionalist editor of a Bay Area food magazine who must work with a young TikTok chef after the publication is acquired by a Silicon Valley tech mogul.
The series is created by Justin Shanes ('Superstore') and Nedaa Sweiss ('The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'), who will also serve as executive producers.
Bowen’s production company, Bowen and Sons, is involved in the project, with Rachael Field and 'Top Chef' EP Gail Simmons also on board as executive producers.
Bowen, a two-time Emmy winner, has an extensive career in television and film, including directing credits and upcoming roles such as reprising her character in the 'Happy Gilmore' sequel.
