Jujuy’s 340-Strong Youth Delegation Arrives as Evita Finals Open in Mar del Plata

The province presents the trip as a free, federal pathway for youth that crowns a year of qualifiers.

Overview

  • The Jujuy contingent is lodged in Mar del Plata and will complete accreditations on Monday, with competitions running Tuesday through October 4 and no opening ceremony scheduled.
  • This edition brings together about 8,600 athletes under 17 across 36 disciplines, including seven adapted sports, under the national Secretariat of Tourism, Environment and Sports.
  • Competitions will be staged across four main venues supported by a reinforced medical operation featuring a mobile hospital, permanent health staff, ambulances and mobile intensive care units.
  • Athletics, table tennis and swimming will qualify athletes for December’s South American School Games in Asunción, and a new system will award sports and educational scholarships.
  • Jujuy’s teams earned places through a provincial pathway that included the inaugural Juegos Forja and received health and social support such as dentistry, nutrition and sports psychology workshops plus personalized mouthguards, with Governor Carlos Sadir seeing them off.
