Overview

  • San Salvador de Jujuy carried out the Marcha Evocativa with a 17:00 gathering, a 19:00 departure to Puente Gorriti, the 20:00 reading of Belgrano’s Bando and the Quema Simbólica on the Xibi Xibi riverbed.
  • Municipal authorities implemented traffic cuts from 17:00 and adjusted public transport routes to secure the events.
  • Organizers returned the procession to central streets because the Xibi Xibi channel could not be reconditioned after recent crecidas.
  • The 70th march was led by the Asociación Gaucha Jujeña, which is marking its 80th year, featuring antique carretas, support from GAM5 with mules and invited groups from Salta, Tucumán and Tarija.
  • Civic‑military‑gaucho parades and local commemorations are scheduled for 23 August in Alto Comedero, with parallel activities in Tilcara, Palpalá and San Antonio.
