Jujuy Marks World Sexual Health Day With Free Services, Helplines and Trainings

The Health Ministry is running provincial outreach that centers sexual health as a rights-based guarantee.

Overview

  • On September 4, activities include a session at UR 8 in Palpalá and training for young promoters of comprehensive sex education in San Pedro.
  • The schedule continues on September 5 at the Health Ministry hall from 9:00 to 12:30 and at the Central Police station on Avenida Santibáñez 1372 from 10:00 to 12:00, with a workshop and information stands planned for September 16 in San Pedro.
  • Free consultations are available across Jujuy at all primary health centers and public hospitals, through the provincial call center 0800-777-7711 (Monday to Friday, 7:00–19:00), and via mobile outreach operations.
  • The national sexual health service offers guidance at 0800-222-3444 (Monday to Friday, 9:00–21:00; weekends and holidays, 9:00–18:00) and by email at [email protected].
  • Interdisciplinary teams provide information and care on contraception and emergency contraception, IVE/ILE, cervical and breast cancer screening, responses to sexual abuse and violence against children and adolescents, adolescent sexual and reproductive rights, and LGBTI care.
