Judson ISD Fires Superintendent Milton Fields in 4–3 Vote

Overview

• Judson ISD’s board voted 4-3 Tuesday to terminate Superintendent Milton “Rob” Fields effective immediately without further pay.
• Before the vote, Board President Monica Ryan read 13 categories of “just cause” from a board-commissioned probe, citing failures in finances, academics, background checks, and reporting suspected child abuse.
• The board’s letter also alleges policy violations that include accessing student records of trustees’ children without cause, bringing alcohol onto district property during work hours, sharing passwords, and using district resources to promote a tax-rate measure.
• Fields had been on paid leave since January and withdrew his request for a public hearing this month, while a motion to let him resign in lieu of termination failed.
