- The High Qualification Collegium of Judges (VKKS) endorsed Vladimir Davydov as its candidate for First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court.
- The VKKS also put forward Nikolai Timoshin for Deputy Chairman who would chair the Supreme Court’s Criminal Collegium.
- The decisions were announced during the session, with Davydov’s nomination read by VKKS chair Timoshin and Timoshin’s by the deputy head.
- Davydov has served at the Supreme Court since 1999, while Timoshin has been a justice since 2004 and has served in senior roles within the Criminal Collegium and the Presidium since 2014.
