Judge Sets E. Jean Carroll Defamation Trial Against Trump for January 2024

E. Jean Carroll's second defamation trial against former President Donald Trump has been scheduled for January 15, 2024.
Carroll is seeking at least $10 million in damages from Trump for comments he made during a CNN town hall last month.
Trump's team sought to block the delayed defamation suit but were unsuccessful.
The case stems from Carroll's 2019 public accusation that Trump raped her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s.
Trump faces several other legal issues, including criminal trials, in early 2024 in New York, Florida, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
