Judge Orders Trial Proceedings for 'El Viejón,' Alleged CJNG-Linked La Barredora Chief

The ruling opens a four-month window for prosecutors to deepen the investigation.

  • During the raid, officers seized three handguns, a long gun, 116 rounds, eight magazines, doses of marijuana, crystal meth and cocaine, a gas grenade, and multiple phones and tablets.
  • The judge indicated that a woman detained with him, identified as Edith Cárdenas, was not linked to the alleged crimes and could be released.
