Judge Orders Parking Records to Pin Down Vilaplana’s Exit Time in ‘Dana’ Probe

The three-day demand aims to verify how long she remained with Carlos Mazón to assess her potential presence during calls with Salomé Pradas.

Overview

  • A court in Catarroja directed Interparking Hispania S.A., operator of Valencia’s Glorieta 24 horas garage, to provide the ticket or a certified entry–exit record for October 29, 2024.
  • The order follows Maribel Vilaplana’s testimony this week, when she supplied her car’s license plate but said she no longer had the parking ticket.
  • The judge granted a request from an accusation representing victims, deeming the record useful to determine until when she accompanied the then-president and whether she could have heard calls with Salomé Pradas.
  • Vilaplana told the court they left the El Ventorro restaurant at about 18:45 and that Mazón walked her to the garage, where they parted after talking about football and without security present.
  • The measure forms part of the criminal investigation into the 2024 storm response, after the Audiencia Provincial de Valencia ordered Vilaplana’s appearance to clarify what she may have heard.
