Judge Orders Forensic Audit of Adorni’s Eight Bitcoin Wallets

A technical verification and an expanded review of the couple’s fiscal records will test whether claimed crypto savings explain a reported shortfall that could trigger criminal steps.

Overview

  • Judge Ariel Lijo authorized Monday a request from federal prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita to peritar eight bitcoin addresses and to widen the patrimonial probe into Manuel Adorni.
  • The agreed procedure calls for Adorni’s defense expert to sign prosecutor‑provided messages from each address using wallet software, the Policía Federal to perform cryptographic checks, and the session to be recorded while private keys remain in the defense’s sealed custody.
  • The defense says the eight addresses showed activity between October 2014 and September 2018 and that their liquidation produced US$591,544.61, with the keys handed to the lawyer in a notarized sealed envelope.
  • Pollicita has asked agencies such as ANSES and ARCA for work histories, tax returns, property and vehicle records and dollar‑purchase data covering the couple’s early economic life to verify the claim that pre‑existing family savings funded the crypto buys.
  • Technical verifications can prove current control of an address but cannot alone prove historical ownership or the physical receipt of cash from over‑the‑counter trades, so the forensic results and the registry data will decide whether the case advances to an indictment or is closed.
