Overview
- Trevor J. Roston, 33, faces counts including aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint, four aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges, and two misdemeanor sexual exploitation counts, according to prosecutors.
- Prosecutors allege he followed a 16-year-old with an intellectual disability into a single-use poolside bathroom at an Elgin hotel on or about Nov. 29 and sexually assaulted the minor.
- A judge granted the state’s pretrial detention request on Dec. 15, ordering Roston held in the Kane County jail, with his next court date set for Dec. 29.
- Advocate Health said it terminated Roston’s employment at Advocate Sherman Hospital, and authorities said he was at the hotel on personal time.
- Police asked anyone with information or potential additional complaints to contact Elgin Detective Kozicki with the Kane County Children’s Advocacy Center.
