Overview

• Asta Jonasson filed the suit in December 2023, alleging Diesel forcibly groped her and masturbated during a 2010 Atlanta hotel stay before firing her the next day.
• On June 3, Judge Daniel M. Crowley ruled that four of Jonasson’s FEHA-based claims are time-barred for missing the deadline to file a state civil rights complaint.
• Six causes of action remain, including sexual battery, wrongful termination, two retaliation counts under California’s labor code, negligent supervision and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
• Bryan Freedman, Diesel’s lawyer, maintains his client’s categorical denial and says he will introduce “irrefutable evidence” to refute the remaining allegations.
