Judge denies Alec Baldwin's bid to dismiss civil suit over fatal 'Rust' shooting

A judge rejected Alec Baldwin's motion to dismiss a civil lawsuit filed by Rust crew members over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The judge also denied Baldwin's request to delay the civil proceedings pending the outcome of potential criminal charges, but said protective orders could be filed.
Baldwin still faces the crew members' lawsuit alleging negligence and recklessness over safety standards on the Rust film set.
While involuntary manslaughter charges were dropped, prosecutors may still refile criminal charges against Baldwin based on new forensic evidence.
The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, faces criminal charges and has pleaded not guilty in relation to Hutchins' death.
