Overview
- The New York State Supreme Court judge found Hyden guilty of four counts of second-degree murder, one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, four counts of second-degree assault and three counts of third-degree assault.
 - Prosecutors showed he ran a stop sign, sped through a construction zone, mounted a sidewalk, and smashed through a chain-link fence into Corlears Hook Park, braking only half a second before impact.
 - Evidence at trial included a reported blood-alcohol level of about 0.17 and vehicle data indicating speeds up to roughly 54 mph.
 - The victims were identified as Lucille Pinkney, Herman Pinkney and Ana Morel, who died at the scene, and Emily Ruiz, who died five days later; seven others were injured.
 - Witnesses prevented Hyden from fleeing by removing the truck’s key, and the judge rejected a defense claim of a foot injury as he now faces potential life in prison at sentencing on Dec. 3.
