Overview
- Polling runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday after an hour’s extension, and tokens will allow all voters inside premises by 6 p.m. to cast ballots.
- The electorate totals 401,365 across 407 polling stations in 139 buildings, including 226 sites designated as critical by police.
- Real-time monitoring will use drones at 130 locations covering every station, alongside webcasting at all booths and CCTV inside and outside premises.
- Security features a three-tier cordon with paramilitary on the inner ring and 1,761 Hyderabad police in support, with 230 rowdy sheeters bound over and 27 MCC cases filed.
- Each station will use one control unit, four ballot units and one VVPAT, backed by 561 CUs, 2,394 BUs and 595 VVPATs with ECIL engineers on standby, and counting will be held at Kotla Vijaya Bhasker Reddy Stadium on 42 tables.
