Overview
- Polling will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., an hour longer than usual, with tokens issued so voters inside premises by 6 p.m. can cast ballots.
- There are 407 polling stations across 139 buildings serving 401,365 electors, with 58 candidates requiring four ballot units per station alongside one control unit and one VVPAT.
- All EVMs have been checked, ECIL engineers will accompany sector officers, and standby machines are set to resolve malfunctions within 30 minutes.
- A three-tier security ring is in place with paramilitary forces inside, State police in the second layer and reserved police outside, with 1,761 personnel and 73 paramilitary sections deployed and 226 critical stations flagged.
- Webcasting and CCTV will cover every station, drones will monitor 130 locations and surrounding areas, 101 of 103 registered postal voters have already voted, and counting will be held at Kotla Vijaya Bhasker Reddy Stadium on 42 tables.
