Jozy Altidore's Contract Bought Out By New England Revolution, Free to Sign With New Team

New England Revolution exercised their option to buy out Jozy Altidore's contract after scoring just two goals in 30 appearances.
Altidore was making $2.94 million in guaranteed compensation, with part of his salary still being paid by his former club Toronto FC.
Altidore is now a free agent and has interest from clubs in Greece as well as Major League Soccer.
Altidore has played for several clubs in Europe and North America over his career and scored 42 goals in 115 appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team.
New England plan to bring in at least one new signing over the summer transfer window to replace Altidore.
