Josh Peck Reveals He Was a Finalist to Play Edward Cullen in 'Twilight'

"Drake & Josh" star Josh Peck shocked to be among last four contenders for the role of Edward in popular "Twilight" series, eventually lost to Robert Pattinson.

Josh Peck, best known for his role in 'Drake & Josh,' was a runner-up to play the character Edward Cullen in the popular 'Twilight' series.
The actor revealed on his podcast 'Good Guys' that he sent in an audition tape for the role and was among the last four contenders.
Peck expressed disbelief at being considered for the role, given that he hadn't had a tummy tuck yet and the character Edward Cullen is frequently shirtless in the series.
The role eventually went to Robert Pattinson, who starred oppositely Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in the five-part series from 2008 to 2012.
Peck is among several actors who revealed they auditioned for 'Twilight'; Jennifer Lawrence and Jamie Lynn Spears previously shared that they auditioned for the role of Bella Swan.
