JoSAA Counselling Choice Locking Closes June 12; Seat Allotment Round 1 Set for June 14

Qualifiers from JEE Main, JEE Advanced have finalized preferences ahead of the first allocation that will assign seats at 127 institutions nationwide

Overview

  • The registration and choice filling window closed on June 12 at 5 pm, securing candidates’ prioritized programme selections
  • The first round of seat allocation results will be published on June 14 at 10 am on the JoSAA portal
  • Six rounds of allotment will run through July 22 to fill seats at 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 46 GFTIs
  • Last saved preferences are locked automatically if candidates do not manually lock choices before the deadline
  • Candidates who accept seats can withdraw online until the end of the fifth round to pursue higher-ranked options
