Overview
- On Sept. 23, PAN deputy Federico Döring Casar filed an ampliación de denuncia with the FGR that added José Ramón and Gonzalo Alfonso López Beltrán, as well as Salvador Camargo Viveros.
- José Ramón López Beltrán responded on Sept. 24 via social media, calling the accusations false and defamatory and warning that those who slander him will face legal consequences.
- The expanded filing lists alleged offenses including conspiracy, organized crime, trafficking and sustracción of hydrocarbons, contraband, encubrimiento, operations with illicit resources, influence peddling, illicit enrichment and criminal association.
- The new names build on an initial Aug. 27 complaint that already mentioned Andrés Manuel López Beltrán and several Morena figures, according to the deputies who filed the case.
- The FGR holds the investigation and has not announced a decision on whether to judicialize the matter, with the complaint presented by Döring together with deputy Marcelo de Jesús Torres Cofiño.
