Overview
- Aprilia said the operation to reduce and fix Martín’s displaced right collarbone was performed in Barcelona at Hospital Universitari Dexeus by a team led by Dr Xavier Mir.
- The injury followed a first-lap collision with teammate Marco Bezzecchi in the Motegi sprint, after which X-rays confirmed the displaced fracture and he was withdrawn from Sunday’s race.
- Under series regulations, Aprilia will not field a replacement at Mandalika, and the team will evaluate Martín’s recovery in the coming days.
- The FIM Stewards have deferred their hearing into the Motegi incident until Martín can participate.
- After multiple injuries across 2025, Martín has missed 10 races and sits 20th in the standings following last season’s title-winning campaign.
