Jorge Martin Sustains Displaced Collarbone Fracture in Motegi Sprint Crash

Aprilia says he was flown to Dokkyo Medical University for a CT scan following Turn 1 contact with team-mate Marco Bezzecchi.

Overview

  • X-rays at the circuit confirmed a displaced fracture of Martin’s right collarbone after the Japanese MotoGP Sprint incident.
  • He was transferred by helicopter to Dokkyo Medical University in Mibu for a CT scan to assess the injury.
  • Starting 17th, Martin lunged on the brakes into Turn 1, lost control and struck Bezzecchi, eliminating both Aprilia riders.
