  • Jorge Aulicino died July 21, 2025, at age 75 after weeks in a Buenos Aires palliative care clinic due to cancer.
  • His career spanned more than five decades of cultural journalism, including editing Clarín’s Culture and Information General sections.
  • He authored 26 poetry collections from 1974 to 2019 and was honored with the National Poetry Prize in 2015 and a Konex Diploma al Mérito in 2017.
  • In 2015 he completed his Spanish translation of all three books of Dante’s La Divina Comedia, building on a 2011 version of Inferno and translations of Pasolini, Cavalcanti and Keats.
  • Aulicino co-founded Revista Ñ and championed emerging literary talent through his long-running editorial and column work.
