The baby will be the first grandchild for King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, adding a new member to the royal lineage.
If the baby is a boy, he will be second in line to the Jordanian throne, following his father.
The couple married in a grand royal wedding in June 2023, attended by international royals including the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Princess Rajwa, an architect and graduate from Syracuse University, has embraced her royal role since marrying Prince Hussein.
