Jordan Spieth’s Wild First Round at The Players Features Two Chip-In Eagles

Spieth started strong with a birdie and an eagle on his first two holes but quickly gave up strokes with a double bogey and a bogey on holes 14 and 15.
He regained momentum with a second chip-in eagle on the par-5 16th hole, marking the first time he recorded multiple eagles in a single round at The Players.
Spieth closed his front nine with a bogey on the par-3 17th and a birdie on the challenging par-4 18th, finishing the first half of his round at 2-under 34.
The 31-year-old, who is three shots behind leader Lucas Glover, is aiming to make the cut at The Players Championship for the third time in six years.
