Jordan Brand to Open First U.S. World of Flight in Philadelphia on Oct. 10

Philadelphia's deep Jordan ties make it the launch pad for the brand's pinnacle retail concept in a restored Center City landmark.

  • Doors open at 10 a.m. Oct. 10 at 1617 Walnut St., with a public block party at 4 p.m.
  • The two-story, roughly 7,000-square-foot space sits in a 104-year-old Beaux Arts building whose renovation was scaled back by the Philadelphia Historical Commission.
  • The store will feature exclusive product drops, customization services and community events, along with the brand’s broadest assortment of footwear and apparel.
  • Philadelphia becomes the sixth World of Flight city, following Milan, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Mexico City.
  • Jordan Brand highlights local ties including athletes Jalen Hurts and Jared McCain and the city’s first Jordan Wings Scholars in 2015, and says additional U.S. locations are planned.
