Jony Ive Design Firm Redesigns $64,000 Turntable

LoveFrom, Jony Ive’s design firm, collaborated with Linn, a British audio company, to create a special 50th anniversary edition of their Sondek LP12 turntable called the LP12-50.
Only 250 units of the LP12-50 will be produced with deliver starting in August 2023 at a price of $60,000.
The redesign replaced plastic parts with aluminum and added new metal components resulting in improved sound quality and usability.
Linn’s CEO worked with Ive to redesign the turntable which has been in production for 50 years and over 100,000 units sold.
The LP12-50 will be available in natural and white lacquer finishes.
