Jon Wax Moves from Amazon to Disney as EVP of International Original Television

In his new role, Wax will collaborate with regional leaders to develop local content for Disney+, bolstering the company's international portfolio.

Jon Wax, formerly of Amazon, has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of International Original Television for Disney Entertainment.
Wax will work alongside Kristen Finney, Disney Entertainment’s EVP, International Television Strategy & Operations, with Wax focusing on the creative side and Finney on operations.
The newly created role will see Wax working with regional leaders across the globe to create local content for Disney+.
Wax's previous roles include overseeing Amazon's genre development division and leading the drama and movies division for YouTube Originals.
Disney's international content portfolio includes upcoming historical drama Renegade Nell, Lat Am series The Boss and South Korean supernatural drama Moving.
