Jon M. Chu to Co-Direct Animated 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!' Set for 2028 Release

The adaptation of Dr. Seuss' final book will feature original songs by Pasek and Paul and marks Chu's first animated film.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has announced a March 17, 2028 theatrical and IMAX release date for 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!'.
Jon M. Chu, known for 'Wicked' and 'Crazy Rich Asians,' will co-direct the animated musical alongside Jill Culton, director of 'Abominable.'
The film is based on Dr. Seuss' final book, published in 1990, and follows a young adventurer navigating life's challenges and triumphs.
Original songs for the adaptation will be written by EGOT-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for works like 'La La Land' and 'Dear Evan Hansen.'
The project is being produced by J.J. Abrams under his Bad Robot banner in collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, with Rob Lieber penning the screenplay.
