Jon Gruden Considered for Indiana University Coaching Job

Former NFL Coach Shows Interest in Position Following Firing of Tom Allen

Jon Gruden, former NFL coach, is being considered for the Indiana University coaching position following the firing of Tom Allen.
Gruden has been out of coaching since 2021, when he resigned from the Raiders after an NFL investigation uncovered his use of racist, homophobic and misogynistic language in emails.
Gruden has 'some interest' in the Indiana University job and reportedly has the support of a few key individuals at the school.
Tom Allen, the previous Indiana University coach, was fired after a 3-9 season and a 1-8 record in the Big Ten.
Gruden's last involvement in football was a consulting role with the New Orleans Saints.
