Jolt Cola Returns in 2025 as a High-Caffeine Energy Drink

The iconic 1980s soda is being relaunched by Redcon1 with triple the caffeine and a modern energy drink twist.

Jolt Cola, the 1980s soda known for its high caffeine content, is set to return in 2025 as a 16-ounce energy drink with 200 milligrams of caffeine per can.
The relaunch is being led by sports nutrition brand Redcon1 in partnership with licensing agency IMG, aiming to capture both nostalgic consumers and younger energy drink enthusiasts.
The new formulation replaces sugar with sucralose and will include sugar-free options featuring vitamins B6, B12, and B5, alongside limited-edition flavors.
Jolt Cola's return comes as the global energy drink market continues to grow, with sales projected to rise from $48.1 billion in 2024 to $80.8 billion by 2033.
Redcon1 plans to market Jolt primarily to adults over 21, distancing itself from concerns about the health risks of energy drinks for children and teens.
