Overview

• Jhalawar District Special Team and Chandigarh Police arrested Jitendra Sharma and Rajni Sharma in a late-night raid at Jhalrapatan’s Chandravati Growth Centre.
• Officers seized fake ₹500 notes worth ₹12.20 lakh along with a laptop, colour printer, cutter, ink, printing paper and a screen frame imager.
• The couple, originally from Ujjain, had rented the location for months under false identities while dispatching consignments through couriers.
• The probe followed the September 29 Chandigarh arrests of Gaurav and Vikram with 2,038 fake ₹500 notes valued at about ₹10.19 lakh.
• The suspects and seized material were transferred to Chandigarh Police, which registered the case and is examining links to a wider syndicate.
