Overview
- A joint team from the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps, Jammu & Kashmir Police, CRPF and SOG launched a search operation in the Akhal forest on Friday evening and neutralized one militant
- Intermittent and intense firefights persisted through the night, including about 20 minutes of heavy firing around 4 a.m., before operations resumed under cover of darkness
