  • Moesha Johnson powered to the women’s 5km title in 1:02:01.30, out-touching Italy’s Ginevra Taddeucci by one second after leading from the start
  • Florian Wellbrock sealed the men’s 5km in 57:26.40 to complete his double gold haul following Thursday’s 10km victory
  • Japan’s Ichika Kajimoto claimed bronze in the women’s race, finishing 27.6 seconds behind Johnson
  • Organisers cleared elevated E. coli levels off Sentosa before racing resumed under punishing water temperatures of 30.2°C to 30.8°C
  • With two open-water titles each, both swimmers will contest the inaugural 3km knockout sprint and the mixed 4×1500m relay before turning to pool events
