John Oates Continues Music Career Amid Legal Battle with Daryl Hall

Despite ongoing lawsuit, Oates remains positive, performs on 'The Masked Singer', and prepares to release new music.

John Oates, former member of the Hall & Oates duo, is currently involved in a legal battle with his former bandmate Daryl Hall. Hall has accused Oates of planning to sell his share of their joint business venture, Whole Oates Enterprises, to a third party, which Hall believes would violate their business agreement.
Despite the ongoing lawsuit, Oates remains positive and continues to perform, recently appearing on season 10 of 'The Masked Singer' where he was unmasked as the Anteater.
Oates is currently based in Nashville and plans to release a new album next year. He also performs solo at his 'An Evening of Songs and Stories' shows, which he describes as intimate and authentic.
Oates has a new single, 'Get Your Smile On', releasing on December 15. The song was written during the COVID-19 pandemic and all proceeds from the downloads will go to Teen Cancer America.
When asked about the possibility of performing with Hall again, Oates responded, 'I never say never to anything.' However, he is currently focused on moving forward and leading the best life he can.
