Overview

• John Malkovich has been added as a guest star to the seven-episode series starring Ayo Edebiri and Will Sharpe.
• Will Sharpe created, wrote and directs Prodigies and serves as executive producer alongside Edebiri and Sister’s Jane Featherstone, Naomi de Pear and Katie Carpenter.
• The show follows Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), two former child prodigies in their early 30s questioning their long-term relationship.
• Malkovich’s casting reunites him with Edebiri after their collaboration on the 2025 film Opus and marks his second role on Apple TV+ following The New Look.
• Production is underway with an expanded supporting ensemble but Apple has not announced a premiere date.
