• His family said he was "suddenly and unexpectedly" taken and that he "peacefully slipped away" surrounded by loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.
• No cause of death was provided, and he is survived by his wife, Kirsten, and their children, Emily and Kristian.
• Joining the band in 1966, Lodge became a principal writer and vocalist, contributing songs such as Ride My See-Saw, I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band), and Isn’t Life Strange.
• He appeared on landmark albums including Days of Future Passed and In Search of the Lost Chord, and the group stopped live performances in 2018, the year it entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
