Overview
- Republic Records and John Legend announced Muse, a 16-track album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams that will be released on Oct. 23, 2026.
- The lead single “Daylight” was released on Sept. 8 and was previewed live on CBS’s America’s Tailgate, featuring orchestral strings, booming percussion and songwriting contributions from Samm Henshaw and Wayne Hector.
- Press materials and the published tracklist show Pharrell is credited as a featured artist on several songs and that hip-hop duo Clipse appear on the track “Bodies on the Floor.”
- Legend and Pharrell began the project in January 2025 at Pharrell’s studio in Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters and say the sessions produced a deliberately cinematic, cross-genre aesthetic blending gospel, doo-wop, soul, Afrobeat and hip-hop.
- Muse follows Legend’s recent work, including 2024’s My Favorite Dream and 2022’s LEGEND, and represents a producer-led reinvention that could reshape how he presents material on tour and in fashion or film-related settings.
