John Cena’s Final WWE Match Set for Dec. 13 on Peacock’s Saturday Night’s Main Event

The Peacock-only special caps WWE’s media rights reshuffle to ESPN starting in September.

  • WWE and NBCUniversal announced that the Dec. 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature Cena’s retirement match, streaming exclusively on Peacock.
  • The opponent and venue have not been announced, with Boston’s TD Garden widely expected but unconfirmed, as Cena enters the final 11 dates of his farewell tour including Logan Paul at Clash in Paris on Aug. 31.
  • Saturday Night’s Main Event becomes a Peacock exclusive under a multiyear deal, with the first exclusive edition slated for Nov. 1 before Cena’s sendoff in December.
  • WWE premium live events shift to ESPN platforms beginning in September, starting with Wrestlepalooza on Sept. 20, following the final Peacock PLE at Clash in Paris on Aug. 31.
  • Peacock will retain the WWE Network library through the end of 2025 and NXT premium live events through March 2026, with the streaming format expected to limit commercials and avoid hard broadcast cutoffs.
