• Sanskruti Anil Amin, 22, was hit by an aerated concrete block near her home in Majaswadi, Jogeshwari East, and was declared dead on arrival at HBT Trauma Care Hospital.
• The block fell from the Shivkunj building redevelopment site operated by M/S Majjas Shraddha Life, with the Mumbai Fire Brigade logging the incident at 12:52 pm.
• Deputy Commissioner Datta Nalawade said negligence by the site supervisor and contractor has been established, and Meghwadi police were instructed to register a case under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
• The civic body issued a stop-work notice at the site, and officials asked the building proposal department to review permissions and safety compliance.
• The victim’s father filed a complaint naming the builder, contractor, engineer and site supervisor, as residents reported torn safety nets and prior instances of falling debris.
