Overview
- Red Art Games announced the collection on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and confirmed a digital launch for October 29, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
- The package bundles three SNES-era Data East titles — Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, Congo’s Caper and Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics — and includes both the Western releases and the uncensored Japanese versions of each game.
- New features added to the compilation include rewind, save states, an optional CRT filter, customizable aspect ratios and frames, an in-game music player and a new Boss Rush mode to reframe gameplay.
- Physical Standard, Rock and a limited Deluxe edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 were detailed for early 2027 pre-orders, with the Deluxe limited to 500 PEGI-rated copies per platform and sold through RedArtGames.com and select European retailers.
- The release keeps original same-screen local two-player co-op and adds presentation extras such as virtual unboxing, reversible covers and manuals, a move that both preserves the originals and targets nostalgia-driven collectors.
