Joe Flacco Backs Damar Hamlin for NFL Comeback Player of the Year

Despite his own successful season, Flacco believes Hamlin's return to the field after a cardiac arrest is more deserving of the award.

Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns quarterback, has publicly supported Damar Hamlin, Buffalo Bills safety, for the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
Hamlin returned to the field this season after suffering cardiac arrest during a game last season, playing in three games.
Flacco, who was not on an NFL roster at the start of the season, was signed by the Browns in December and led the team into the playoffs.
Despite his own successful season, Flacco has stated that he doesn't feel he should be considered for the award, as he was 'just coming back from being old and not being on a team for a couple of months.'
Hamlin has already won the Pro Football Writers of America’s version of the award for the 2023 season.
