Despite Appreciating Some Films, Foster Hopes for End of Superhero Dominance

Jodie Foster, in an interview with Elle magazine, expressed her hope that the current trend of superhero movies will soon end, describing it as a 'phase' that has lasted too long.
While Foster appreciates some superhero films like 'Iron Man', 'Black Panther', and 'The Matrix', she stated that these movies do not change her life and are not the reason she became an actor.
Foster's comments echo those of other Hollywood figures such as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and John Woo who have criticized superhero movies in the past.
Despite her criticism of superhero films, Foster praised 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', a film by The Daniels, calling it perhaps her favorite movie of all time.
Foster is currently receiving Oscar buzz for her supporting role in 'Nyad' and will be headlining HBO's 'True Detective' Season 4 next year.
