Jodhpur Jeweller Arrested in Mumbai Temple Thefts as Probe Widens

Investigators are testing links to other Mumbai temple thefts after call records placed the suspect at multiple sites.

  • During interrogation, Soni confessed to multiple offences, helping crack about half a dozen cases, including thefts in 2024 at Bhuleshwar and in January 2025 at Pydhonie.
  • Authorities describe a pattern of posing as a devotee and traveling from Jodhpur to steal, with CCTV and CDR analysis now guiding checks with stations in VP Road, Juhu, Andheri, DN Nagar, and Bhoiwada.
