Joc Pederson Joins Arizona Diamondbacks on One-Year Deal

The 31-year-old outfielder, known for his power hitting, adds depth to the Diamondbacks' lineup following their 2023 World Series run.

Free agent outfielder Joc Pederson has agreed to a one-year, $9.5 million deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks, with a mutual option for 2025.
Pederson, 31, has been a consistent power threat for a decade, with 186 career home runs for the Dodgers, Cubs, Braves and Giants.
Despite a moderate performance in 2023, Pederson demonstrated prowess against right-handed pitchers, boasting a solid .786 OPS against them and contributing 15 home runs.
The Diamondbacks have been active on the free agent market after a surprise run to the 2023 World Series, also signing left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez and re-signing outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
Pederson, a two-time World Series champion, could prove to be a good value signing, finishing in the top nine percent in average exit velocity and hard hit percentage in 2023.
