Joby Aviation to build electric air taxi factory in Ohio, create 2,000 jobs

Joby Aviation is building a new facility at Dayton International Airport to manufacture electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The company aims to receive FAA certification for air taxi service with the new aircraft by 2025.
The manufacturing facility could produce up to 500 eVTOL aircraft per year and create up to 2,000 new jobs.
Construction on the $500 million facility will begin in 2024, with operations starting in 2025.
Ohio state and local governments are providing Joby Aviation with up to $325 million in incentives to develop the manufacturing site.
